"I can't believe we're doing this. Our parents are going to kill us." Monica says as she quickly kisses Jon's cheek before she buckles her seatbelt on the airplane.
"They'll get over it." he takes her hand and kisses it, "I'm pretty excited."
"Me too. But my dad is going to kill us, you know that."
"I'll be ready." he grins at her, having not a care in the world. He was on his way to Las Vegas to marry his sweetheart, his rock, his best friend. "We'll be back before they know that we're gone and we can tell them whenever you're ready."
She looks over at him and sees the smile on his face, he's happy that he won and he's happy that at this time tomorrow, they will be married and starting their new life as a family.
The wedding chapel was empty when they got there and the lady at the desk could see that this was a spur of the moment thing. She asked the young couple, "Are you here to get married, or just look around?"
Jon quickly responded, with Monica's hand in his, "We're here to get married."
"Do you know what package that you would like?" she points to the options hanging on the wall. "There are three to choose from, with number 3 being our most popular."
"What does that include?" Monica questions, feeling the sweat in her hand, mesh with Jon's.
The lady stands up and grabs a laminated sheet of paper with the options in detail. She starts to go over them, and when she made it to the third option, Jon jumped in and said, "That's the one that we want."
The lady, surprised by that choice asked, "You want us to be your witnesses, with just the quick simple ceremony?" She looks at them a little confused. A couple that attractive she would think would want to have a dress, a nice suit or outfit for the groom and friends and family there.
"That's exactly what we want. No muss, no fuss - we just want to be married."
"We can do that." The lady assures them. "Give me a minute and I will have it all set up. Please look around, we have flowers over there for the bride and some options for vows." She points to a glass case in the corner as she leaves the reception area to get it all set up.
Jon takes Monica by the hand and leads her to the case, looking into her eyes he asks, "Are you sure that you want to do this?"
She nods her head and smiles, "Yeah, believe it or not, Jon, I want to do this. I want to marry you tonight."
He's overwhelmed by her response and does what he naturally does when he's within her airspace, he grabs her and kisses her like it was their first. He's gentle, each kiss deliberate. The nibble on her lips drove her crazy, and he knew that. If the pre marriage kiss was anything like the marriage was going to be, Monica could feel his love for her, his passion for her and his commitment to her. She felt right there that they were making the right decision, even though the world would be mad at her.
From a distance, they heard, "We are ready for you."
Monica looked at Jon, Jon looked at Monica. "This is it." And he smiles that soft and sexy smile. Monica steps into him and kisses his lips.
"Let's get this done." With his hand in hers, she leads him to the chapel area and they stand in front of the magistrate and his wife. They are the stand in witnesses for their nuptials.
When everyone is ready, Jon and Monica face one another and go through the speech that the magistrate has to say. They promise to love one another through thick and thin, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health and to forsake all others.
It is now time for their vows. Vows that they agreed that they would say in the moment and from the heart.
That's it? You could of made it a little longer????? hint
