Chapter 33 - They're On Their Way

"I'll get it." Screams Jon from the bathroom, hearing the phone ring.  Jon makes a mad dash from the bathroom to the telephone.  "Hello" he says as he answers the call.  Richie is sitting there looking at him like he was crazy.

"Hi." he hears Monica say in her sexiest voice.

"Hey babe, how are you?" Jon asks right off the bat.  "How is the shoot going?"

Monica is in a make up chair getting her hair and make up done, "It's going great.  I'm actually in the chair right now, but I wanted to try to catch you before you left for the club."

"I'm glad you did.  How have you been?"

"I'm great.  Tired, but great.  How's it going for you guys?" she asks, trying to get a word in.  She can tell that Jon is excited to be talking to her.

Jon sits down on his bed, kicking his feet up on Richie's bed, "We're doing good.  Big show tonight, but we're doing good.  Tell me about Cali, what have you been doing?"

"I have been crazy busy with this shoot.  Not only is it 'costume' changes, but we need to shoot at dawn, mid day, dusk and dark.  So each suit gets photographed in all the different times of the day.  Hair and make up at each one.  It's pretty cool though."

They talk for a few more minutes, until Monica's hairdresser needs to use the blow dryer.  "Jonny, I gotta go.  I need to have my hair dried.  Can I call you tomorrow?"

A little bummed, he tells her, "I'm going to have to try you tomorrow.  We're going to Seattle tomorrow, so I don't know where we're staying yet."

"Okay.  Tomorrow we're doing a mid day shoot.  Call me when you can, okay."

"Okay.  I miss you."

"I miss you too!" she tells him as she hangs up the phone.  Jon lays back on his bed and takes a deep breath.

"How's it going for her?"  Richie asks him.

"She's having a great time.  She says she's been really busy."

"She's going to make a name for herself, she's a beauty inside and out."

"I want to see her." Jon admits a weakness to his best friend.  "What are we doing after Seattle?"

"I think it's Tacoma and then down to San Fran.  What are you thinking?"

"When we get close, I'm going to see her." Jon tells his buddy, getting up from the bed to go take his shower.

"Won't she be in Paris by then?"  Richie yells after him.

"I don't know.  I'll ask her tomorrow."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone is back home in New Jersey now.  Monica had the time of her life on the photo shoot and in Paris, at Fashion Week.  And Bon Jovi made a mark in the their history book, with sold out shows and the press falling in love with them.  It can only go up, for all of them.
The first day home, Jon spent the day with his family and the night with Monica.  He missed everyone while he was gone, Monica he missed the most.
"How are your parents doing?"  Monica asks Jon as he walks in the door of her house.
"They're good.  Dad says I need a haircut and mom doesn't like me being gone.  Other than that, they're good." he walks up to her, his hands on her waist, he pulls her to him and their lips meet.  First time in weeks.  "Mmm, I missed you." he tells her in the middle of their kiss.
"I missed you too." She holds onto him like her life depended on him.  When they were done kissing Monica steps back and says, "I got you something."
"What?"
She takes his hand and leads him down the hallway into her bedroom.  Her luggage is on the bed.  She opens her hard sided suitcase and takes out a garment bag.  Zipping it open, she takes out a long leather, patch jacket.  "I'm pretty sure it will fit." She hands it to him.
He looks it over before he puts it on.  Sliding his arms into it, "I love it.  Thank you."  He leans over and kisses her.  He walks over and checks it out in the mirror.  "This is pretty cool."
"It's a Versace.  You look great in it." she smiles at the sight of him.  That jacket was made just for him, she thought.  He looks perfect in it.  His long rock star hair, his tight jeans and his Converse high tops.  "Perfect!"
"Thanks babe.  This is great." he turns back and forth in the mirror, checking himself out some more.
She walks up behind him and messes with the collar, "Are you hungry?"
Jon looks at her in the mirror and tells her, "Not for food."
Monica slaps him on the ass and walks away, "I'm making something to eat, are you hungry?"
Jon takes the coat off and lays it on her bed.  He follows her to the kitchen and asks, "What are you making?"
"I was going to throw a pizza in the oven."
"That sounds good."
Monica is trying to get the pizza on the pan, but Jon has his hands all over her.  He missed her so much, he wanted to take her right there on the kitchen floor, but he could see that she wasn't thinking the same way.   Moving her hair out of the way, he lightly kisses the back of her neck; giving her chills and kicking her libido into a gear close to overdrive.  "Will you stop?  I haven't eaten since I got on the plane this morning."
"Well then, let's go out and grab a bite." he suggests to her.
"That's the last thing I want to do.  I am so happy to be home." she tells him as she adds extra cheese to the pizza.  "Do you want anything extra on this?"
Jon, kissing the back of her neck again says, "No. That's good."
Monica slides the pizza into the oven and turns to Jon, "Sit down.  You're driving me crazy."
He laughs, "Driving you crazy?  How am I doing that?" he sits at the kitchen table.
She laughs, "Your hands are distracting and so are your kisses."  She walks up and sits on his lap.  "I really missed you."
"Not as much as I missed you."
"How bad were the groupies?  I'm sure they were everywhere."
Jon laughs at that.  "I don't remember any groupies.  I did the shows and went back to our room.  Richie and Alec had a lot of fun, though."
"I'm not surprised about Richie, but Alec? Really?" she asks, knowing that Richie loved his women.  "Alec better be careful, if Missy finds out - he's a dead man."
"I don't think he cares.  He sees the women at the shows and that's all he thinks about.  They both are like a kid in a candy store."
Monica takes a handful of his long frosted hair, pulls his head back and asks, "You were a good boy, right?"
Laughing at her and her silly question, he asks, "What do you think?"
